So, the stay with my parents wasn't too bad. I got to sleep in an air-conditioned room, see some horses and some fireworks, that kind of thing. It was pretty boring - we spent most of the time in one of three states: driving around under trees in the park; walking around in stores or groups of people waiting for special events; or sitting around waiting for said special events to start. But I kind of expect boring with my parents, by now. I am glad they weren't being annoying at me as well as being boring. Well, except for the times they criticized the behavior, clothing, or presence-of-tattoos on random people, within the hearing of said random people. But that's just my parents.

The walking-around-looking-at-architecture bit would have been a lot nicer had I been able to walk properly. Stupid muscle thingy from martial arts class. I fell on it wrong and it's been acting up all weekend.

And I got to see more fireworks, yay.

Oddly enough, this test (my result, by the way, was Thoth) exactly specified how I feel about my parents. "They're alright, but I get more out of a good book."

And the Bishonen test....I wish I knew what the other results were. I like the first part of this and kind of agree with doing the "letting people take advantage of you sometimes" part. But that doesn't mean I have to like it.

So. They're going to do a Samurai Jack movie.

It's going to be live-action.

Um. There's something wrong with this, isn't there? It can't just be me. I mean, it's a cartoon for good reason. There are some things that even stunt-men can't do. And why bother not using the trademark hard-edged-yet-airbrushed animation style of the show? It's one of the things it's got going for it.

I for one will not be pleased if this turns into some kind of "let's see how many robots we can slice through in an hour" movie.

A little blurb about the movie. At least Tartakovsky's directing.

There's a slight chance they might manage to get it right, somehow. Though I don't know how they'd do it. Ideas?

I have one - the actor that they get to play the part should have at least 5 years' worth of training in some kind of martial art, so they'd be able to at least move right. *sighs and shakes head*
