Commercial Space Travel!
21/3/02 15:20Those of you who know me really well may know that I am something of a space nut. I think John Glenn carrying the Olympic Flag into the stadium during the opening ceremonies this winter was an amazing statement of what humanity is slowly getting right, of hope for the world and beyond it. (I also think the other people they picked to carry the flag in were cool, but John Glenn in particular is great.) I got up at 3:30 in the morning last semester and went outside in the cold to see Jupiter and its moons through a telescope. I cried over the Hubble Space Telescope pictures in National Geographic.
So, this article on the first prototype commercial space shuttle was interesting enough. But the clincher? Supposedly, there might be an agreement with US Airways to let you use your frequent-flier miles to go into space.

As if I didn't think flying was cool enough already.
