Help!!!!

I can usually do a lot of stuff with Photoshop LE. However, one simple thing seems beyond me: matching the grey in the background of my website I am making to the grey that is already in the graphic. It says it's the same grey. I've taken screenshots and picked out the grey I want directly from the samples. However, it's not the same grey! Can anyone help me? Please? Color shifts stink.

The only way I've ever been able to beat that is to take a 5x5 section of the grey on the graphic itself and save that 5x5 section as a new image, and have a tiling background image that will give the same impression as plain color but is guaranteed to be the same color.

Thank you very much, Swiftpaws! I figured out that the problem was that I wasn't copying from the saved graphic, I always started out with the Photoshop file itself.

And by the way - you wouldn't be the Swiftpaws that knows Greyhawk, would you? He seems to have disappeared, and if you could prod him into getting in touch with me again, I'd appreciate it.
