The Rhyslings (Science Fiction Poetry Association's annual award) are at Readercon. Which is next weekend.

I just went to a con.
I have some money, but not a lot.
I write SF poetry and want to get to know the field a little better, especially as regards random smaller magazines which I probably will not have heard of but could be perfect venues for my stuff.

Another "too many variables" vote. Are you in a position to make a day trip or two? A day membership, plus not having to spring for a hotel room, would allow you to attend the con on the Way Cheap. (Of course, I don't know how far distant the con is from you ...)

I know that kadyg and I went to Pantheacon for an evening and single overnight stay, and appreciated it a lot more than not going at all while keeping our combined spending in the two-digit range.

Thank you all. I've decided to go. I don't need money for transport (I have a monthly pass that will work), and none for housing, and there are writers going to this who I really, really want to hear speak. And I can bring sandwiches, or something.
