Momentum - Phase I

[This process is in the poem of being revised. Or the other way. Just to be snarky and not-terribly-clever. [Some days, the words taste disgusting on my tongue, like the smell of gasoline]].

In physics class
we learn the difference
between energies:
potential and kinetic

A body at rest
will always stay at rest
until acted on
by an outside force

I sleep in
I don't make my bed
I don't clean

My outside force the alarm clock

how sad
so much

potential wasted

kinetic change:
reach stretch
for the clock

there's the potential
the kinetic the few steps to the door and
out into the hall
some days

so safe all movement has ceased
