01. your live journal "user name" & what it means:
The best way to describe it is as another name I use for myself, although this is not entirely accurate. It means "willow," like the tree. Those who know more know, those who don't are welcome to ask should they be curious.
02. on a scale of 1-10 (10 being the highest) how well does your live journal represent who you actually are?
Hm. I'd say about a seven or eight. I usually put in here what I am really thinking and feeling at the time, but some things I post friends-only, and some I don't post at all, so it's not a tell-all.
03. how much about your life do you post to lj?
As much as I would be okay with people who didn't really know me knowing about me; I figure that that's a safe enough level.
04. is there anything you refuse to post about?
Yes. Therefore, it is not here.
05. on a scale of 1-10 how interesting do you think your own journal is to others?
To a random person: about a two.
To people who actually know me: perhaps a five? I don't know.
06. from who/how did you find out about lj?
I think I found out about it from some online friend or another. Don't rightly know.
07. has anyone ever joined lj because of you?
I gave a code to Jen, I think.
08. what proportion of your posts are friends only?
Not many. I try to keep the ratio low. I would never be comfortable with it creeping over 1/4th of my total journal entries.
09. what is your favorite interest on lj?
Occasionally I check to see who else lists BMC as an interest and if I know them. That's it.
10. Has anything on lj ever caused you to establish, rethink, or even change your belief or position on something?
Re-think, yes. But then again, I re-think everything on an almost daily basis. It's not a large accomplishment, except sometimes when the thing it causes me to re-think is in itself signifacant somehow to the other workings of my life.
11. how often do you respond / comment on other peoples journals?
When I think I have something semi-constructive to offer them.
12. do you prefer to write in your journal or read other journals?
I like to write in mine the most when I feel as if I really, really have something to say that I'd like to share with others. Unfortunately, that doesn't happen quite as often as I'd like it to. Therefore, in the times when I'm not writing anything Important, I like to read other's journals.
13. have you ever had something mean said to you or been stalked, harassed, or got into an argument/flame war on lj (or did it to someone else)? I have only flamed someone once, and that was by accident, as I misunderstood what they said. I don't flame-bait people on purpose, and try not to do it by accident. I have had trolls (people who try to start fights on purpose) in this journal. I have had friends who were harassed through LJ.
14. have you ever banned someone from your journal?
Yes, and I didn't want to do it.
15. who are your favorite lj friend(s) and why?
I like 'em all: that's what friends are.
16. how many of your LJ friends have you actually met?
All of the people who are listed as my friends I have either a.)actually met in real life or b.)have known so long online that I might as well actually have met them.
17. of all of the people on lj you know of, who is the most like you?
Me.
18. why are you most likely to add someone to your friends list?
If I have a good friend who gets a new livejournal. (*waves to Trifles*)
19. do you automatically add friends to your journal if they add you first?
Not always...I have a set of criteria for picking friends which doesn't always reciprocate. (Note: this should not be construed as criticism of people who aren't on my friends list. I like you all; it's just that I don't know some of you as well as others. If you're more curious about this, or angry, please ask rather than stew. I shall try to explain my theory of interpersonal relationships to the best of my ability.)
20. is your "significant other" on lj?
Yup. Yay! Arc's Journal
22. have you ever wanted to meet someone on lj?
I would at some point perhaps find it interesting to meet people that I don't really know that well in person, so...yes. But until I met them, or began to know them better, I couldn't say that I really desperately wanted to meet them in a "let's hop into a jet right now" kind of way.
Have a nice night, everyone! :)
