Okay, people, you know the drill. New pictures and an updated links section, yadda yadda yadda. There's a link to the left. No pushing. Keep your hands and arms inside the ride at all times. Move along.

Oh, yeah, and the Saiyuki fanfic. The first one. I'm planning on doing a funny one later.

I think this would be a good time to explain to other people, as I've been queried about it, how I take criticism on my writing or artwork: yes, please! If you have something to say, good or bad, say it on whatever forum you please. Call if you want to call. Leave messages on my livejournal. If you don't want to do that, you can email or instant message me. Please! I need to know what my writing and art is doing to the inside of your head, good and bad, to make my own works better.

A question for those who have seen Fruits Basket and both seasons of Saiyuki: and Which anime do you think would be a better fit with the song Galileo, by the Indigo Girls, for eventual video-making purposes? I can see both working, but can't decide...

I like being able to put "accomplished" in the little mood box below and really mean it.

I feel old. :)

Saiyuki? I haven't even heard of that... and only barely of 'Fruits Basket'. Man, I remember when you couldn't get stuff for a year after it appeared in Japan. Now people are fanfubbing them half an hour after it's broadcast on Japanese TV.

Oh, I've been into anime since the late 1980's. I started getting into it when the only available anime was bootleg subtitled tapes I could rent from Geppi's comics in Maryland. From there I moved on to Carnegie Mellon, where I not only got the opportunity to watch a lot more anime, but also got introduced to the internet. Back then the big thing with anime and the internet was that you could go to an ftp site and download scripts or summaries of shows, so you would have some idea of what you were watching. You could also download gifs.

I remember getting a postcard from this company called AnimEigo, telling me that they were actually going to release an official subtitled anime short called 'Madox 01'. I had no idea what it was about, but it was interesting to get the postcard.

Ah, I'm going all old-geezer, aren't I? I will add on by saying that I created the Carnegie Mellon anime club, called 'Vermillion.'

What I'm watching right now? Trigun. Battle Athletes Victory. Magic User's Club. Lupin III. Card Captor Sakura. Sailor Moon. The KOR boxed set. Fushuugi Yuugi. I try other things from time to time, either by renting from netflix or by picking them up in the store. I'm looking forward to getting a copy of Netflix. My anime collection at home overflows into the hallways.

I may not watch it as obsessively as I used to, but I make up for that by spending more money on it. :)

There are a lot of good Lupin movies, and Miyazaki only did one of them. 'Fuma Clan' is a fun Indiana-Jones type romp. 'Tokyo Crisis' takes time to paint Zenigata in a solid, positive light - he doesn't get Lupin, but he's not a fool. (Well, not a complete fool.) 'Dead or Alive' is Lupin vs. the absolute dictator of some small country, fighting over the secret treasure that everyone knows the location of, but which no one dares recover. 'Legend of the Gold of Babylon' is good if you're really interested in seeing what the Japanese thought the 70's were like in America.

KOR? Kimagure Orange Road. The story of this love triangle - only the center point of the love triangle is psychic, and thusly has to keep that a secret while still trying to get along. It's a lot of fun, really.
