eredien: Dancing Dragon (Default)

I wrote this last night but apparently somwhere between pushing the "post" button and actually being posted, the journal entry got eaten by the servers. Let's try again, shall we?

I learned some great new techniques in Tai Chi.

I read a great book this weekend, "Pastwatch: The Redemption of Christopher Columbus," by Orson Scott Card. It renewed my faith not only in Card as a writer, but in people as a whole.

I got an idea for yet another project, a nonfiction book about form and function, when I realized that literally everything I am really interested in in my life has at least something to do with these two things. Got some scary ideas. This is also good.

Finished a ton of work and feel accomplished.

I will get to talk to Arc soon. I've missed him.

There was a warlord laying waste to all the countryside. Everyone fled in terror before him, except one monk who stayed in the temple, meditating. When the warlord learned of this monk's impudence, he stormed into the temple and said: "Don't you know who I am? I could raise my sword and cut you in half with one blow and not even blink!"
The monk replied, "Don't you know who I am? I could let you raise your swordx and cut me in half with one blow and not even blink!"

Laughed a lot.
