Given this kind of thing, I think furries should stop being grumpy about people using "yiff" to mean "furry sex". Sheesh.

Well, yiff does mean "furry sex." And like any other kind of sex, people obsess over it endlessly.

There are a lot of furries who take it too seriously, and there are a lot of non-furs who hate on the fandom without finding out anything else about it. I liked the fact that this strip poked fun at both constituencies (like you could get furries to vote as a whole on anything!).

I almost considered pedantically pointing out that the folk etymology is almost certainly untrue, but anything that makes people say "that's kind of cool" is really the best we could ever have hoped for and best not tampered with.
