Tomorrow I am making brussels sprouts in cream sauce for the reading group.
Tonight R. and I had a perfect vegan grilled cheese/chicken and artichokes with lemon garlic butter. I was pleased, no less at the grilled bread on the grilled cheeses than with the artichokes. At one point, both my vegan grilled cheese and my pancake skills were below par--something about the way the oil coated, or didn't coat, the bread in the pan--and both of them are now delicious.
Wonderful.
And we have leftover lemon-garlic butter to put on the calzones that R. is making for tomorrow.

27/11/08 14:44 (UTC)Grilled cheese and chicken - um, take some bread and some sliced soy cheese. Put soy margarine on the bread on one side. Put some butter in the pan, heat it, and let it foam. Toast the bread in the pan. Then take it out. Put in the "chicken" patties and heat them. Put the cooked patties on the bread and put the "cheese" on the bread. Put it all together and wait until golden brown to flip, then wait until it's golden on the other side. :)
