Poll: Boskone 2008?

eredienI am wondering if I should go ahead and pre-register for this year's Boskone, from Feb. 15-17th 2008.
Pros:
- I might get to see some folks I haven't for years, if they make it up.
- I might get to meet some new folks.
- I like bigger art shows; Readercon (as wonderful as it is) has no art show. Vericon has one, and it's generally good, but it's not huge.
- I would get to see more of what's going on in a semi-larger world of fandom.
- It's close, so I can go there and go home when I want.
- If I pre-register it's cheaper.
Cons:
- I will already have spent some time earlier on that month traveling, with the inevitable associated tiredness and expense. I'll want some time to catch up at home.
- It's quite large, and if friends and associates I know go to it, I haven't found them or met up with them. I often go wander around to panels alone. They're very interesting, but it's better if you have people to talk to.
- If I don't pre-register and then decide to go it's rather expensive.
- I haven't read any of David Weber's (GoH) books. Should I? It's a genre (milirary SF) which I find interesting when well-done, but boring as wallpaper when not.
- The last time I went, I was (poorly!) propositioned by a married(!) con-goer. It was skeezy and not ok.
Moot points:
- I have a lot of January/Febuary activities already scheduled.
- I will still be learning the ropes of my new position at work.
Other points:
- I can listen to Bach indefinitely; I think I will keep him on when I am doing writing this afternoon.
- The proofs of "Last Yangtze Dolphin" have been returned.
