Stolen from sovay.

Go to your music player of choice and put it on shuffle. Say the following questions aloud, and press play. Use the song title as the answer to the question. NO CHEATING.

What does next year have in store for me?
"Enabler," Pajama Crisis. Album: Beautiful Science
([Electronica] Hm. Not good!)

What does your love life look like?
"Fool," God Lives Underwater. Album: Empty
("What do I have to lose to get things I've never won?" I don't think this meme is entirely accurate.)

What do I say when life gets hard?
"If You Don't Cry," the Magnetic Fields. Album: 69 Love Songs Box Set
("If you don't cry/it isn't love/if you don't cry/then you just don't feel it deep enough.")

What do I think when I get up in the morning?
"Hale-Bopp," Honest Bob and the Factory-to-Dealer Incentives, Album: It's Not as Bad as I'm Making it Sound
("I can't see/in front of me." Accurate enough, until I put on my glasses.)

What song will I dance to at my wedding?
"Meant to Be," Squirrel Nut Zippers. Album: Hot
("I tell you what the trick is/what you get is what you had to give away." Very nice.)

What do you want as a career?
"Silence" (featuring Sarah McLachlan), Delerium [sic, no matter what the lyrics page says]
(Just go read the lyrics. They're all accurate and any one bit I would pick would be misleading.)

Your favorite saying?
"#1 Crush," Garbage. Album: Independent Access
(The selection of music on this computer tends to darkness.)

Favorite place?
"Big in Japan," Tom Waits. CMJ 69-5/99
("But Hey/I'm big in Japan." I am? Wow.)

What do you think of your parents?
"Live Forever," Oasis. Album: CMJ 16-12/94
("Maybe I will never be/All the things I want to be/But now's not the time to cry/Now's the time to find out why")

Where would you go on a first date?
"The Carnival is Over," Dead Can Dance. Album: Mai Pen Rai
("We sat and watched/as the moon rose again/for the very first time." This is a strangely beautiful song.)

Drug of choice?
"The Prince Who Changed into a Cat," Beijing Opera. Album: Listen, Brief 4th Ed.
(If there are words I can't understand them, but the title alone is accurate, however you want to take it.)

Describe yourself:
"Plump," Hole. Album: Grinder
("Do you fake it for me/like I do you?")

What is the thing I like doing most?
"Magic's in the Makeup," No Doubt. Album: Return of Saturn
("If you bore me/then I'm comfortable/If you interest me/I'm scared." Trying to be authentic, telling stories nontheless? Sure, I'll take that as an answer.)

The song that best describes the president?
"Fader," Drugstore. Album: CMJ New Music - October 1995
("I'm gonna dig myself a hole/And get my head inside/I'm gonna keep my eyes closed/Feel my heart dripping by/Life can be so ordinary/I did try to make mine good/But I've made so many mistakes.")

What is my state of mind like at the moment?
"In Blue," Color Blind. Album: Euphoria.
("Don't forget what really matters." The lyrics to this are not on the internet, as far as I can tell (!).)

How will I die?
"Special," the Spent Poets. Album: The Spent Poets
("Just let yourself go/what are you waiting for?" This is really good music, but I think the band is kind of not widely known. I'd never heard of them before.)

What's your deepest, darkest secret?
"Something is Sacred," Eels. Album: Dasies of the Galaxy
(Again, the lyrics actually sum up the entire answer to my question pretty well. It's a gorgeous song.)

What am I doing right now?
"Your Magic is Working," Of Montreal. Album: Satanic Panic in the Attic.
(Either I am swimming "across the Atlantic" or "hopping like a kangaroo," neither of which is accurate at the moment. But I don't think they make songs that say "Stayin' home with/a chest cold and theraflu/posting memes to LJ." This is one of my favorite songs.)
