So, I've had a horrid head cold coming on since Sunday and finally decided to take a day off from work and ply myself with medications and sleep. On the plus side, no costume needed to hand out treats at the door--just cough, cough, and drool. Consumptive zombie.
I would feel better if after I coughed a small and roughed-up looking hedgehog emerged from my throat and shuffled into the yard, because that's what it feels like in there, but none ever do.
Not even a pumpkin carved, which makes me a bit sad; it's the first time since '03 I haven't done something startlingly odd up in orange.

Womdering if I'll even be well enough for Saturday's party is horrid. I'd really like to make some kind of costume this year.

Note: fish poll is non-binding. Teetering between "Lorem Ipsum" and "Squeegee"--the final decision will be based made on which one sounds better with "Cliff." "Cadfael" is out, Sovay--suggested but didn't make the final cut to the journal.

Don't bother with the over the counter cold syrups. Honey and lemon juice in equal amounts - if your throat hurts and you've got it around you can add some alcohol. And drink hot liquids.
