The Allegory of the Cave should seem to be a retro, 16-bit (or even 8-bit) game, but eventually opens up into a full-fledged, modern 3D game — perhaps where you rescue prisoners from little dungeons where they play 8-bit video games and mistakenly believe they are interacting with reality.

Or, to put that another way, can you think of a non-Plato's Cave computer game?

hmm, a plato cave game? why not make it a 3d shooter? you blast away at the material world with obtuse metaphors and lead people out into the true world of forms, where they have a tea party with the true forms of things.
