Exotic Lychee Shake

Because Z. was asking for the recipe...

I was trying to find something to do with the extra lychees we had in the fridge. I cook by smell and was trying to think about what ingredients are in the cuisine you might find where Lychees grow. It's best to experiment with the quantities given until you find what you like. These are really only approximate.
The aniseed really shouldn't be left out; I think that it really gives the dish a lot of interesting taste and flair it might not have otherwise.

Ingredients:
- 1/2 tub plain greek-style yogurt, or 1 small tub
- 2-5 Tbsp honey
- 1 20-oz. can lychees, drained. Reserve juice for popsicles, cocktails, or just drink it if you are decadent.
- Approx. 1/3 teaspoon anise seeds, ground coarsely
- Approx. 1/16 teaspoon mint extract (optional)
- Approx. 1/16 teaspoon rosewater
- Ice (about 2-3 trays' worth of cubes)
- Sesame seeds and shredded coconut, for garnish

Equipment needed:
- Blender, preferably with ice-crusher function

1. Place yogurt and honey in blender. Blend until smooth.
2. Add drained lychees and blend into yogurt until smooth.
2. Add anise seeds, mint extract, and rosewater.
3. Add more honey if necessary.
4. Add ice. Blend until thouroughly blended.
5. Garnish with sesame seeds and coconut. Pour into glasses and serve immediately.

- Serves about 2 people, more if you are using small glasses.
