Readercon, anyone?
10/1/06 21:28So, I'd like to go to Readercon again this year. I had a great time last year--the best time at a con I can remember having since my very first con--and last year I vowed that I would beat the horrible bus schedule times (if I want to be there for a panel at 9 am, I have to catch a 6:30 am bus or something of the sort) by doing the one thing that would have made last year better--renting a hotel room for Saturday evening.
Why?
- I live in the Boston area; it is silly to rent a hotel room for three days.
- The panels on Friday and Sunday end far enough in advance that I can catch a bus, but the Kirk Poland Memorial Bad Prose Competition is on Saturday evening. By the time it is done no buses are still running.
So: is anyone else going to Readercon this year? My housemates are probably either not going or won't know until that weekend. Does anyone else want to split room costs? Post here.
