Thank you to rabidfangurl for suggesting that I check my camera warranty before sending in my camera for repairs--after determining that there actually was a problem the estimated repair costs came to zero dollars!

To my camera: I didn't get you through a shady ebay reseller! I registered you! I read your manual! I buy you the good batteries! I clean your lens with lens paper! I keep you in a padded bag! Yet you still have focusing problems--what more do you want from me?

A vacation? Fine, I'll ship you to the repair center in Illinois on Monday.

My camera is having focusing problems.

Perhaps I should name it after someone without such problems.
Ideas?
