Hello from England!
26/12/04 16:59I am in England now. I wish I could have fallen asleep on the plane, but I'm here and just took a walk around Pinner, the district where my friends live. It's beautiful! I kept turning the corner and breaking into a spontaneous grin at the mere fact I was in England.
We came into London at about 5 am and did a holding pattern over Heathrow for about an hour--which gave me ample opportunity to examine the street patterns, which were convienently lit up just for me; we also passed over the Thames and St. Paul's Cathedral, which looks impressive even from 15,000 feet.
I hope that this link will take you to the picture gallery where I will be posting pictures from my trip. So far it has only a picture of the house where I am staying, but that will give you some idea of the atmosphere.
More tomorrow when I am better rested; I am trying to beat my sinus cold into submission.
Another post with contact information will follow; it will be friends-only because I don't feel comfortable with broadcasting their phone number over the internet. If anyone else wants it please drop me an email.
