This was borrowed from both Khava and Rai.
1: Grab the book nearest to you, turn to page 18, find line 4. Write down what it says:
"Vader's ruined lungs, Burtt first tried to synthesize a unique sound composed of around eighteen"
2: Stretch your left arm out as far as you can. What do you touch first?:
Nothing if I stick it out straight. If I put it in front of me I hit the computer monitor.
3: What is the last thing you watched on TV?:
I watched a Trigun DVD on the television a few weeks ago, but if you're asking what was the last show I actually tuned into and watched, I don't remember. It was at least two months ago.
4: WITHOUT LOOKING, guess what the time is:
1:39
5: Now look at the clock, what is the actual time?:
1:44
6: With the exception of the computer, what can you hear?:
The wind outside my window, the sound of my typing, someone opening the door outside my room, my Moxy Fruvous tape, and the sound of the tape player running.
7: When did you last step outside? what were you doing?:
About an hour and a half ago, going from the Blue Bus stop to lunch at Rhodes.
8: before you came to this website, what did you look at?
My email.
9: what are you wearing?:
Stuff that is old because I had sculpture class today and don't wear nice stuff to that.
10: Did you dream last night?
Yes. Giraffes are about the only thing I remember.
11: When did you last laugh?
At lunchtime conversation with Beth, Rabidfangurl, Trifles, zelas8x8, Doublestar's Fearless Leader, and a Ford who was interviewing her about fanfic.
12: what is on the walls of the room you are in?:
Way too many posters.
13: Seen anything weird lately?:
Ted, dancing during Renchoir rehersal.
14: What do you think of this quiz?:
Eh.
15: What is the last film you saw?:
"Chungking Express," by Wong Kar-Wai. I would say it's a Hong Kong love story, but while the Hong Kong part is true, it's more "confused bemusement and attraction" than love. I liked it a lot, even though it's one of those films without A Point. Perhaps even because it had No Point.
16: If you became a multi-millionaire overnight, what would you buy first?:
A safety deposit box.
17: Tell me something about you that I don't know:
This question doesn't apply unless I know who you are.
18: If you could change one thing about the world, regardless of guilt or politics, what would you do?:
I would like to take dogma and hatred out of the enshrined place it holds in many world religions and replace it with love.
19: Do you like to dance?:
Very much.
20: George Bush: is he a power-crazy nutcase or some one who is finally doing something that has needed to be done for years?:
I don't think he's power-crazy, just bullheaded in the opposite direction from me. The fact that he happens to be president annoys me: I don't agree with his social, economic, religious, or political outlook, and I think he's a liar, but that doesn't make him power-crazy, and I do what I can to work against him and his policies when he does things I don't agree with. I don't think he's entirely a nutcase, though I do wish he was better educated on the subjects of world geography and grammar.
21: Imagine your first child is a girl, what do you call her?:
I don't believe in giving children names before they tell me what theirs ought to be, but I like the following names: Margaret (the name of my grandmother on my mom's side), Elizabeth, Elanor, Elspeth, Vera. (Yes. Elspeth. My children will hate me).
22: Imagine your first child is a boy, what do you call him?:
Please see question 22. I would like a boy-child of mine, should I have one, to consent to having Kent as their middle name.
23: Would you ever consider living abroad?:
Not for more than a year.
24: Will you pass on this survey?
Take it if you want it, I don't care.
In other news, I am queing up a tape for tomorrow's City & Mass Media class--we've all been asked to bring music to talk about age and class differences--and I decided on Moxy Fruvous' Bargianville album.
It's really, really odd to listen to "Gulf War Song" again--I haven't listened to it since the new Iraq war started, and you get an entirely different perspective on it now. Again.
Today I will hear if Phoenix goes to California or Boston. A bit nervous.
