Email Woes
14/3/04 22:44Does anyone know an address book conversion tool for Eudora so it will convert my address book into LDIF format? I have a lot of email addresses in my Eudora program that I need to import, but Eudora doesn't have a good way of putting its own address book into Eudoramail. Of course.
I found a conversion tool online at interguru.com, but even using that, it is ferociously slow. I must:
-convert my addresses.
-paste these addresses into a word document.
-get rid of the extraneous html code to get to a one-column email address list.
-paste these addresses, one by one, into my webmail program's whitelist.
The automatic conversion there only converted 171 email addresses; it printed out a 36-page long list of ones that it wouldn't correctly be able to convert and I would have to enter manually.
I weep.
Perhaps I should just grit my teeth and pay the extra money for a spiffy email account that will let you use an email client like Eudora to read your mail.
Oh well. At least if I go through this process once I will NEVER HAVE TO CHANGE EMAIL ADDRESSES AGAIN!
