Yesterday, the woman from the computing center came. She tested my hard drive space. Okay. She tested my RAM. Okay. She tested my IP address. Okay. She tested my antivirus checker. Okay. She tested the cord from the wall to the computer, and she tested the place where the cord plugs into the ethernet hookup. Those were both okay.
Everything appears to be fine.
But the internet doesn't work, except in the morning (hence the time of this post), and the email isn't working at all.
They blame it on network traffic.
I'm sorry, please think of a plausible excuse and try again.
It's driving me nuts.
First off, email is a part of my life. I write on it. I talk to friends on it. My teachers leave important and urgent messages about classes and assignments on it for us. I can get to my email through the computer center, but I'd rather not have to camp out there for the next three days.
Second, I've lost all my favorite places information. Two year's worth of links and important information, gone. And I'd just organized them, too.
Third, it's lonely and frustrating when I know that Arc is online and wants to talk to me, and I can't get on to see him! *sigh*
I would say that it's driving me batty, but such a pun would be beneath even my dubious pun skills. ;)
