Only at Bryn Mawr would the track team auction off "Hand Made May Day Wings!" and the entire campus would consider it perfectly normal.

Oh, and I have been told that backsmoker alumtype people are meeting online at seven on every day ending with a seven in a month. Is this true, or merely a wild rumor?

10 pages of thesis turned in.

More after Friday, when exams settle down. Actually proctoring this year. Huzzah.

Re: 7s. It is true. Or at least, if it isn't true, twelve of us were subject to a mass hallucination on Sunday, December 7th. More details here: http://www.livejournal.com/community/the_backsmoker/

Hope to see you there!

OK, why does no body ever inform *me* of these things. I'm guessing (?) I could have learned about it in Elsinore, if I ever made it onto Elsinore anymore? See, you should just assume that I'm not going to learn about things that go into Elsinore, and tell me in other ways!

I did notice (4 hours after the fact!) that Astarloa had invited me to a chat room on Sunday, but had no idea that this had been an event planned in advance. Sigh.

Also, not that I think I'd be able to make it most of the time anyway... but I assume the 7 is EST? Which means, on weekdays, that it would be impossible for me to make it....

Sorry about that. The whole notion is only about 5 days old. I had meant to tell you, also to send you this: http://www.livejournal.com/community/the_backsmoker/, but then when we chatted last night I was sulking and it slipped my mind. A thousand pardons.

As for the time difference, we meant to start at 7, but it was more like 9 when we actually got going, and some of us were still chatting into the wee hours, EST. So if you popped in at 8 or 9ish, your time, chances are good you'd find some company there.

Next week will not be me, however. Exam 2 days hence. Sigh.

well, next time it is happening on my travel day. So we'll see if I make it online then. But it's good to know about this in advance, that way I can try to schedule around it and actually talk to people for a change!

Yay for handing in pages of thesis.

And as you have heard, yes, 7 is true. Although I'll bet we will never all be there at 7. And many of us are on other days too.

But yes. Seven has that ring of truth that makes it so.

Sounds like Bryn Mawr alright, at least from what little I saw of it.

Good luck on the thesis.
