Every time I see you I am reminded of how I have changed, and how I have not changed, and how very small the world is after all.

This is kind of ambiguous. I'm curious as to how I've changed, and how you have. But like you, I'm constantly amazed at the smallness of the world.

I keep having dizzy spells for no reason. I wonder why. It could be the temporal distortions, but those generally don't affect me physically. Strange.

Get to bed earlier/more often. Drink more tea. Don't stand up too fast.

Once upon a time there was a little sparrow named evening star (her parents were rebels who liked to stay awake after sundown and thus knew what the evening stars looked like). She was born in a nest built under the eaves of an old farm house. The little girl who lived there liked to sit in the parlor and listen to the whistling chirps of the sparrow families. One day the little sparrow landed on the window sill to that parlor window. The window was open, and she bravely hopped into the gloomy room....

(LOL I should finish this but it's almost better as the start of a round robin story. I think I am going to have to sit down and finish fleshing this out and possibly post it to Nexus. I'm such a slacker there recently.)

I like the idea of sparrows as rebels. It really doesn't cross your mind until you see them chasing a big crow or hawk, you know?

Once, you were overly impressed by something I did. You said that you couldn't do it. Wrong, you can. You have it in you to do anything.

Some things I can do now, some things I cannot do now--I may have been able to do them in the past or will be able to do them again in the future. It's okay that I can't do everything, you understand. That's one of the things I find in other people that constantly delights me--they're not me.

Getting to know you better over the last couple of years has been really amazing.

I'm not looking them up. I don't have the time and energy to do that, nor do I want to. I left it on because I've had people spamming me on this journal before and if someone left a completely spammy comment I would be able to complain to their ISP.

I am continually amazed that you are getting through this year retaining as much sanity as you have. You are quite wonderful and inspiring.

I haven't retained as much sanity as you probably think I have, and the cowdung hasn't hit the fan quite yet. Thank you, though. My advice is to remember that nothing is ever quite the end of the world.
