eredien...forgot to sign up for Lantern Night to be a swinger.
Sent pathetic email to songsmistress, hoping she'll take pity on me.
Parade night, having missed it for my first two years and shivered in the cold for the last two, never seemed like a tradition that really got it together, kind of like a guest that always arrives too late at a party after all the cheese is gone.
May Day is harder than you'd think to feel enthusiastic about. So much to do, and all the seniors are crying.
Hell Week...well, the most I'll do is bedtime stories and ride froshies and to the duck pond, and that's the one you really don't bother to come back for...senior apathy and all.
But Lantern Night is really something.
And my parents are coming (along with nifty (I hope) foriegn exchange student from Finland my family is hosting).
How stupid it would be for them to see it, and not me!
And I'm such a wreck that I forgot to sign up. Which somehow makes it worse--obviously my head isn't screwed on right anymore when you forget priorities like this.
Thank God people are coming over in twenty minutes with wine.
Must finish packing--not driving home tonight; realized would be very bad and unsafe idea.
