I have seen three movies in the past four days.

Thankfully, they were all good. But there is only so much movie-watching one can take before one's brain liquifies.

-"Catch me if You Can." Very fun little movie.
-"With Fire and Sword/Ognem i Metchem" (Polish). Historical Dramamentuary. Very good once you figure out who the third person with the musctache in the fluffy hat is.
-"Monsters Inc." Great little movie. Funnier than "Catch me if you Can," but CMIYC was a better movie, so I thought.

When my brain has not been turning into mush, I have been reading (Les Mis and the new Garth Nix book Abhorsen). They are both good. Abhorsen is bring brought back with me to college so Rush can read it.

"[Lirael] did feel sorry for Nick. It wasn't his fault he had been chosen by an ancient spirit of evil to be its avatar. She even felt sort of maternal to him. He needed to be tucked in bed and fed willow-bark tea."

Needless, to say I thought it quite good. I thought it better than Lirael.
Also working on cosplay costume and embriodering a pillowcase. Having much fun when not turning brain into mush.

I am sorry I have not called people as I said I would, but the previous situation didn't really resolve itself at all and, as my brain is mush, there is precious little else to talk about. I wish it was otherwise. I miss laughter, and conversations at dinner.

I think I am getting a sore throat. Isn't that always the way?

Cool. I've only seen Monsters, Inc. of those there, but if you think CMIYC is as good as or better than Monsters, then I'll definately have to try and catch it. Tammy and I have mostly recently just been rewatching movies we got for Xmas - the latest 'new' movie we've seen was 'The Two Towers'.

Thanks! Didn't know Abhorsen was out yet. I also saw Catch Me If You Can, and while I thought it was very well-done all round, it just didn't grab me. But then, neither did Monsters Inc., so I have been sent off into a flurry of interesting comparisons.

Well, this is one of those cases where I know you've read the books in deep, and I've listened to it once (abridged) and seen the movies.

As a movie, I liked it. I recognized parts of the film where I thought the book had gone in a different direction, but I liked what I saw nonetheless.

Scribe would no-doubt be deeply disappointed in me. :(
