Advice to someone near her: get her some Jell-O. I don't know who if anyone is available for this, but I can hope. Having helped out with many people having dental work in the past, one bit of wisdom has always stuck in my mind:
Jell-O GOOD. Yogurt BAD.
Maybe plain yogurt would work better, but the fruity stuff hurts.
