Soundtracks to Life

So, I was sitting here thinking that maybe I should write a journal entry about how my life doesn't really suck that much, and how I'd forgot for a while one of my life mottoes:

I can only do what I can do, so if I try my hardest it will have to be enough.

After all, I got work done today. I sucessfully DM'ed. I sung. I talked with friends and loved ones. I tried to help people.

I wondered if I ought to write about this, and the Beatles song "Blackbird" came on the tape player.
It's one of those songs that--for some reason--has always been on the soundtrack to my life. I listen to it, and I either cry or laugh, but it's always there, and it's always important.

So I started up livejournal. I don't want to forget that life is there, and wonderful.

I like that motto.

It's something I try to remember, although my version of it is more along the lines of 'Things are actually pretty damn good'. I occasionally have problems, but they're not PROBLEMS - they're just challenges, or bothers, or the like. However upset I may get that I've knocked something over, or been late, or the like, it's really small on the whole.
