I've got a lot to do. And I'm getting most of it done. Slowly, but it is getting done.

I've made plans for Boston, concrete ones. This is good. See all Boston people and People who Will Be In Boston when I get there.

But in B's livejournal I saw this Element test, and so I had to take it, just for fun.

What Element Are You?

Stable, yes. Okay. Most of the time, I am, or at least project the outward appearance of being so. If I need to be stable for helping other people, I definitely am.

Practical. This gets more into the tricky side. I balance my checkbook, yes. I occasionally sweep my floor. I do laundry. I get stuff done when it's due. I worry about the praciticality of my wanting to write novels for a living. But....I will someday write novels for a living. Go on. Tell me that's practicality speaking.

I can "have trouble with non-tangible ideas"....um. No. Um. *laughs* Non-tangible ideas are the playtoys in the padded mansion of my brain.

Rush says that "Earth is stability, rationality, logic, organization, rootedness, the reign of intellect, dependability, love of place, resilience."

Stability, maybe.
Rationality: no.
Logic: no.
Organization: only so I can find my writings. Inside my brain, it's crowded. So that's a no.
Rootedness: well, yes. But I've found that I'm pretty comfortable in any places that have a.)hills and b.)people who I know and love in it.
The reign of intellect: well, I'd like to think so. But I don't know. I suspect I'm much more emotionally based than I'd like to be. No.
Dependability: Okay, well, I think I can list this as a yes.
Love of place: Is this the same as rootedness? If its asking whether I get attached to places, I guess this would be a yes...
Resilience: Maybe. It's a trait I cultivated only when I finally realized that I was the one in charge of the decisions I made in my life. It takes me a long time to really bounce back from things, though.

So, that's two maybes, four no's, and three yeses. I'd say that's a no. And though I do like the forest, I'm really much more at home in the water...I'm going to go back and change one answer and see what else I get. I don't really have a preference for either 7 or 9 anyway...

Non-tangible ideas. Heh.
