eredienSo, today is my day for being responsible. I looked up the classes I was going to take next semester and drew up one of my patented schedule-thingies with pretty colors so I know where I am supposed to be and when. I thought, "oh, this is great! I won't have to worry about making one of these up later when I am trying to move in. I'm so impressed with myself."
I found out the following two things.
My 300-level English class meets from 7-10 pm on Thursday nights. Technically, I knew this before, but it didn't hit me until now. Byebye, Doublestar movie nights. Byebye, maori stick-fighting class.
My crosslisted Cities/English course, "The Urban Novel," was listed as a requirement-fulfilling thing both on my minor work plan and my major work plan. I don't think it's possible to take one course and get credit for it in both departments. This means that I will have to decide what I want to count the course towards, and then shuffle around my entire schedule to find another class to take the spot of what I thought I had already planned out, responsibly, four months ago. It will probably take up the senior-year spot I had kept free for taking a sculpture class.
I sent an email to Dean Balthazar off about the last one...my consolation is that I hope she will be able to help me sort it all out. Because I hate making plans, and thought that once I made these I wouldn't have to deal with them again.
