I'm inclined to think that although this brush looks like the one you used, it's probably not actually the same one. My reasoning for this is that I don't think J would put up such a specific sign without a reason to believe that it was being used this way. But a sign like that also also implies an intent to use that brush for water bottles, and I don't think J would knowingly use a brush that had been used on a toilet for bottles.

At least, I really hope not.

It's also possible, given the relative proximity to Halloween, that this is some kind of prank.
