eredien: Dancing Dragon (Default)

I went out to eat dessert with three of my good college friends today to celebrate the fact that one of them finished her thesis today. We had a wonderful and almost-but-not-quite-too-chocolately brownie fudge ice cream thing.

And then we went to the bookstore.
Wow. And I thought I was bad alone in a bookstore...if we hadn't had to go back to college for exams and things tomorrow, we would literally have been in there all night. As it was, I almost bought a manga (vol. 1 of Nausicaa, by Miyazaki) and laughed over many many things.

Some books were interesting and fascinating.
The Idiot's Guide to Understanding Zen, the book which asserted that the world is being secretly run by a race of reptile-men, and A Guide to Crop Circles were not any of them.

However, I was terrified by the fact that several Ornamental Grass Kits had apparently sold.
Now, for only $5.95, you too can grow your own tiny triangle of grass in a carboard box.: the American dream has now truly been achieved. Madison Avenue must be so proud.
