Just my comment from watching the churchy debates from the dads (You do know that both my dad and my father-in-law are methodist pastors, right?) I seriously don't think that you're going to find a pro-gay church that isn't political. It's the BIG THING right now. Being an openly gay christian is going to make you the political poster child in virtually any church.
And Blue says "Pet the kitty. It will make you feel better." But that's what Blue always says.
