So, I was saying how beautiful Bryn Mawr was in yesterday's post. That's still true--today was a day to make me walk outside and feel the sun in my back and the wind in my hair and be exquisitely happy.

That doesn't mean, however, that there aren't some times that I wonder if I've been here a little too long.

I present, for your perusal, a dream I had last night at about 4 am.

My mother and I had gone to a pizza place in our hometown, Tony's, to pick up the mushroom pizza we'd ordered. Pleasantly, I found they'd enlarged the parking lot.
While we were waiting for them to get the pizza out of the oven, I was watching the TV in the corner, which was muted and turned to a Learning Channel or History Channel-type documentary on the history of the Troubles in Ireland.
My mother's comment: "Oh, look, honey. Ireland. How pretty!"
"Mom, I think that's some group fighting with the IRA."
My thoughts in the dream: "I have to remember to watch this when they rerun it on Tuesday at 10:30 pm so I can use it as a source for my paper on political murals in Ireland and Hong Kong. I have to remember to write that down, and ought to pick up a TV guide this week."
We picked up the pizza, left the restaurant, and headed home, at which point I woke up.

I was bemused. My subconscious at times is so patently transparent.

In other news, this is a fascinating site for anyone who's reading this post and finding it at all interesting.
