Religion. And Stuff.
16/9/02 15:54First. I've recently finished reading C.S. Lewis' Perelandra. It was interesting to me, but I still (despite having talked it over a bit with Lila) can't shake the feeling that the idea of the outside agency coming in to take away the incarnation of the Devil kind of sidestepped the issue of individual choice on the part of the Adam & Eve types.
Yes, I know...I know there's an internal problem with my reasoning there. Probably a lot of them. I must think about it more.
Second. Gaudior's most recent post was something that, for me, went right today. Thank you, Gaudior. Literary criticism, if you want it, will be forthcoming later. Right now I'm still going, "ooh, wow, that hit."
Third. Religion of a different kind. This is the "stuff" part. I didn't think that this was the "...pictorial representation of the ultimate goal of every Christian."
Come to think about it, I guess that "being more Christlike and loving" just isn't that easy to put into a photo mosaic.
Note: More about this where I found it, the excellent weblog Making Light.
