Alive. Well, kind of.
13/12/01 17:04Well. So, I've finally gotten most of my work done. Only two exams and a revision for my writing portfolio left to do. I've already finished my written work for tomorrow for Russian, plus some extra stuff that I didn't have to do and only wanted to review, and thought I'd kill the ten minutes I have left until the DoubleStar meeting starts by letting people know I haven't died. Oh, yeah. And I have shopping. But that's later in the week.
Of course, to Arc, my online writing group, my online friends and my RL friends who I talk to mostly by instant messager, I might has well have for all I've been able to do anything exept work the past two weeks.
My friend Irina, a senior this year, just found out she got mono. Ick. And the poor thing needs to to a thesis next semester...to top it off, her parents for some reason went into high-paranoia mode and canceled the plans that they'd had to send her around to visit some friends in different parts of the country for Christmas. :( So she's going to be stuck at home alone for the last week of vacation. Joy. I feel awful for her.
My friend Sharon Rose keeps having memory problems. Today she had one while driving in the car with two other friends....this is a big problem. She's going home in a week or so and getting brain scans done. I hope that she's ok, too.
Apparently, all my friends are falling apart. Oh well - at least when we're all old and grey we'll have nothing to adjust to because we've gone through it all already.
Okay. Off to DoubleStar and then a supposedly funny Russian Movie about Morozko, the Russian equivalent of Santa Claus. The story that that link goes to has a slightly different ending than the one that we read, a little happier, but not much. My reward for working until my brain leaked out my ears earlier on in the week. I can't wait to talk to Arc tomorrow.
I hope this sore throat goes away, and that they fix the problem that is currently causing our dorm to have no water. I am not getting sick during finals. It just won't happen.
