You'll just have to Settle.
5/12/05 00:02I was going to make a big post, talking about how weirdquark and I made soup, and how it snowed, and how great I'm finding the otherkin discussions lately, and how nice SR's birthday was, and how I need to plan travel to cons and make a schedule and budget for that, and how I need to mend my clothing, and how I made "I can't believe it's not pasta" (my first tofu dish), and how I successfully completed planning and buying tickets for both legs of my winter vacation. I was also going to do research and discuss CS Lewis and word-choice, and write answers to a survey.
Aichmetes, I am sorry I didn't call you back; by the time I heard from my parents it was two hours later and I will try to research the travel options for the con tomorrow. How many people does your car fit, by the way?
But mostly I am tired now, and that's all too much to think about and it will be saved for a later post.
Two days of thinking still hasn't got the knot of why my story got rejected any more unravelled; please consider this an open call for zeta readers (syona keleste, rush-that-speaks, and gaudior, you've already read it). It's a short fantasy work, two pages. I would be emailing it to volunteers. I'd be asking questions like "do you lose track of the plot? If so, where?" and "what do you think about the language in this story as a whole? In this passage?"
