I write at about the rate of a page an hour. I'd forgotten how abysymally slow I am and how much of a stickler for getting it right. It annoys me. I wish I felt ok writing crap just to get my wordcount in for the day.

Plus the only characters I like so far are dead.

That's all in City of the Dead. I wanted to work on it for NaNoWriMo, but it wasn't going to be long enough. I think that will turn into maybe something like a 30-50 page story or novella--either way, definitely under 50,000 required as the bottom limit of a modern-day novel.

Wow, you've already killed off characters (plural) in under 3,000 words? :) I have yet to even write in a nosebleed in 7,950.

Died long before the novel starts, really, but the presence permeates it. I hope. I don't actually show deaths. (Yet...?) I am considering going back this evening and writing a lot in that part of the story because it seems to be the most interesting to me there.

Yes, I am signed up. Username cps. I am not posting this thing anywhere until I can be satisfied that it doesn't, in technical terms, "stink." I am, however, lining up beta readers out of blind faith; if you're interested leave a note here in this post.

(I would rather just not name it anything, because I never title anything until after I write it, but it seems to want a name for the website. I'm still not satisfied with "Skin." Though somehow that seems not-quite-appropriate for a supposed YA novel.)
