Today I went to go see Lost in Translation. It was a good movie, though a bit slow even for me (and I'm someone who can sit through slow things like Night on the Galactic Railroad happily).

My mom wanted to see it again, I was really amused that I kept catching random Japanese and knowing what it means. I think knowing a lot would destroy part of the effect of the movie--you're supposed to be lost.

I've also never seen a movie that better captures the last gasps of deperate hope your soul gives out just before you cave into a deep depression. (Note: no, I'm fine. It's just a comment).

Will be going back to Mawr tomorrow, yay.

Why, you may ask, am I still awake at 2:20 am (for the third evening in a row)? I've just finished my paper. I rather like the title, "Hokusai in the Comic Store." More later after I give presentation Monday.

This week, I wrote 21 pages of various papers, not counting biblographies, wrote two pages of supplementary handouts for said presentation plus two more pages of notes to myself, and read about 250 pages.

I also--somehow--managed to relax, though I didn't get enough time to write.
I never do. I don't know why I am always and often suprised by that fact.

I think I should congratulate myself.
And then I think I should sleep.
