I'm sorry, that totally sucks. Keep the faith, though -- I just finally started a job a week ago after being unemployed for 3 months (5 if you don't count an unpaid internship as employment). Of course, in my case it was my own fault (I wasn't laid off or anything, just felt it was the right time to move back to the east coast. Still not sure if I was right or just an idiot). After TONS of interviews that went nowhere, this job offer came quickly and somewhat unexpectedly (I mean, I applied and interviewed, but I really didn't think the interview went that well). Hopefully the same will happen for you.
