I weed through my friends list and my communities annually to determine who to keep, who to take off, and who to add.
I got a lot more LJ friends this year, and don't have time to read everyone's blog. I tend to prioritize reading of blogs based on: content, frequency and type of RL association with a person, and distance apart (people who live far away are more likely to be kept on, since it's often the only way I'm getting news about you!). I don't want to slight anyone: you may be a good friend of mine, but perhaps your blog isn't active or you only post about fandoms I don't follow.
Are you on the writing filter? I have decided to discontinue it, though I have kept an archive in my memories section. It wasn't working the way I'd hoped, either in terms of making me productive or eliciting a useful volume of feedback. I will now send out chapters of things to people via email when I finish them, and not before. If you want to be on that list, email me.
So.

Questions/Tell me about yourself. I want to make an informed decision, but I don't know who you are--even if I know you IRL, I might not know your username on LJ.
axonfuel - your posts read interestingly, but who are you? I don't remember. Did you change your LJ name?
sokmunky - who are you? I know you're in Boston SF fandom.
elenuial - You are a MA writer. You look neat. Tell me more about yourself.
shadow - Why don't we hang out more? Email me.
watermelontail - Who ARE you? You are the most persistent friends-list mystery on this journal. You live in MA and write and that's ALL I have been able to find out about you. I'm utterly curious.

( I feel like I just don't know you well enough. Don't worry, my angst is boring )
