Just What I Needed
26/7/03 14:25I'm relaxing this weekend. Nothing I have to do except what I want to do, nothing I need to do. It's nice not to be traveling somewhere. My hair dye--I ordered an extra bottle since the first one didn't look like much more than highlights after one shampoo-- should be in any day now, as should my costume (my mom is shipping it from home).
The Picnic at J's was excellent. Chocolate, and chocolate, and hamburgery picnic foods stuff, and Kindereggs, and massive quantities of friends and Monty Python and bad Korean soap operas. (Okay, so the soap opera itself wasn't bad, but everyone was dressed in saffron, chartruese, and other strange colors that looked more like 70's home decor than anything else). It was a good evening.
Last night and over lunch this afternoon I talked with Zara about my philosophy of life (the Short Version™). We agreed that it sounded "deep but simple." I felt all zen and happy.
( This is a dream, but if you don't like bugs, you probably should not read it. )
This weekend I am going to try to pack a little, and finish making my collage from pictures cut out of Canaday book covers, and maybe take a nap. And maybe try to sketch or draw some, Raki's picture trade or my new website layout. Note that there is nothing in there that I don't want to do. It's nice.
I like the design philosophy of Play/Create.
