Hugos for the Rest of Us
3/2/03 15:38There's a lot of science fiction and fantasy stuff--good stuff, too--that you can only find on the internet.
Wouldn't it be nice if there were awards for such things? Awards that didn't involve you trekking halfway around the world, spending too much money, and getting accosted by drunk sf fans singing "Rocket Ride" while trying to find the way back to your hotel room after the 1 am showing of Red Dwarf (as much fun as that actually is)?
Now, there is.
The Wooden Rocket Awards. Vote online for your favorite online sf and fantasy sites, in categories ranging from "Best Author Site" to "Best Fan TV Site" and everything inbetween.
It's free. And the only catch is that you have to sign up for a pretty spiffy-looking, and also free, email newsmagazine that (*gasp*) puts its privacy policy right on the sign-up page.
Have fun!
