Before-Concert Thoughts
5/7/01 19:39I still don't like the color-scheme. :P I will eventually get it right.
Don't bring your dog to the fireworks, people. It's a dumb idea. I should have known better, but we had no choice - we were leaving right after they ended, so couldn't leave the dog at the camp, and we didn't want to sit in the car with her and not see the show. So we took her. Our dog Hobbie is the sweetest, most good natured thing. But she was afraid - tried to hide behind my sister. She really didn't like it. *sigh*
In other news, I spent most of the productive part of today (when I wasn't watching SNL reruns) writing letters. To everyone. My friend from college got a three-page letter. My college wanted me to fill out a survey. Arcturax got two pages worth of card in tiny, tiny little handwriting that I hope he can read. It took me three hours to finish all the card-writing, and my hand got cramped. Ah well, that's what we writers have to put up with. *sniggers at herself*
The other productive part of the day was spent programming, but that was only semi-productive as parts of it did not work. Oh well.
I am soon going to a concert with my best friend, Evelyn. It's some free concert they're giving as part of the summer events in my town. Usually the bands aren't any good, but progrssively they are getting better. Last year, they had Inca Son (from the Andes) come and play. They are truly wonderful. Inca Son's Website
Now it's this celtic group, "Six Mile Bridge." I love celtic music, especially when mixed with rock, especially when given room to dance. I love to dance, though I'm not that good at it. I feel free. I hope the concert is good; I can't wait to go.
Speaking of Evelyn, her birthday is Sunday. I am happy. Hours of fun with my best three IRL friends. I can't wait to go! :)
