Today there was no Changing of the Guard; I have to wait 'till Monday or so as I will be off seeing Red House tomorrow.

Here is a picture that wouldn't leave me alone, one of the people from the City of the Dead short story which I am working on. Click on it for a bigger version.

I don't think Dorsiel is being stubborn in refusing to let on; I had a very interesting conversation with them (I refuse to call Dorsiel "it" and Dorsiel and I both don't think some construction such as "hir" really fits) last evening in which there was a bit of confusion as to if Dorsiel themself knew, or had even really thought about it that much. The quote below was the only concrete thing I got out of the whole discussion.

I love livejournal scrapbook; it makes my heart glad.

Drawing notes: feet, especially foreshortened ones, are really, really hard to do without looking like there are some toes stuck on the bottom of an ankle. I tried to make the tattoo have some perspective to help give the foot some length, but I think that's merely a trick of the eye.
Also, Dorsiel's feet are supposed to be more delicate, but I found that the perspective wasn't working if I tried to make the foot look too thin. Ideas or suggestions?
Why can do this in clay and not pencil? Gargh! Hands are much easier.

Me: You aren't going to even give me a clue what gender you are, are you, Dorsiel?

Dorsiel: Death has no gender.
