These are instructions for a Windows 95/98ish machine.
First you have to go and load multilanguage support onto your computer. Go to start>settings>control panel>add & remove programs. Then click on the "windows setup" tab and find the icon for "multilanguage support." It's a little globe. Click the checkbox and follow the instructions to install it. Your computer should automatically load a few Russian fonts, and there should be a little icon in your taskbar that says, "En". Click on it to switch back and forth from Russian to English. The keyboard layout is different - since Cyrillic has more letters than the Roman alphabet, some of them are in odd places. It takes a little getting used to but after that you'll be writing Russian like a pro. If I forgot something here, try searching in windows help for "multilanguage support". Good luck and have fun.
