Gender & Kids' Clothes

Remember a while back when I talked about gender-conforming childrens/baby clothes, and discussed the idea of a store for gender-neutral or gender-trope-subverting kids' clothes?

Well, apparently somebody already did that! Check out "handsome in pink." They have adult clothes, too.

Apparently it's "Fashion Week" here on my blog. But because it's my blog, it's "Gender & Fashion Week."

[livejournal.com profile] firenightingale was on board when I said I didn't want [livejournal.com profile] daisho Junior to have a load of blue outfits, the avoidance of which seems to be increasingly difficult if one buys from the usual baby stores.

Thankfully, a combination of supermarket value clothing, offbeat shopping and grandparents with knitting needles has left the nipper with a nice wardrobe of whites and earth-tones, and me a happier dad. :)

Ooh, I never replied -- apologies, but as you might have seen from my review of 2011 post, he's still not going to sleep until 3am, and sometimes later. <:)

I'm taking a week off shortly so I can get him up early without [livejournal.com profile] firenightingale having to lose sleep looking after him (as her schedule is by necessity more or less the same as his. No telling if it will work, of course, but as he doesn't currently get up till around midday, our ability to do things at the weekend is severely compromised, and he often misses out on morning events because he's still asleep. It could be worse, but it's not really

Double oops, I misread the dateline as 2011 rather than 2010. Still, better late than never...? ;)
