Summer Music
Wow, I'm just a bundle of thoughts today.
I've decided there's two kinds of summer music: the kind that you play when you want it to get warmer, and the kind you play when it's 95 degrees in the shade.
Things that fit into the first category: Aerosmith music; Red Hot Chili Peppers music; this week's latest "hot hit" that you can't stop hearing on the radio; Beach Boys songs; and any song that sounds turn-of-the-centuryish and has the word "summer" in its title, like the kind they use to advertise lemonade on television.
The second category:
Techno music; things by Sade; Sting; some jazz; and Dido, I've found that if you want to feel ten degrees cooler, playing Dido is the best way, short of a bucket of icewater.
