What was your particular allergic reaction?

The amusing/amazing thing is that the "dressing up" stuff wasn't a formal church teaching--the pastor himself hardly ever wore vestments, and my church was pretty much opposite to prosperity gospel teachings in a lot of ways. It was just something my mom taught me. I don't know where she picked it up, but my best bet's my grandfather.
